Passion for Rural Development

Community Change Alliance-Ghana (ComCA-Ghana) is a professionally managed, dedicated youth led NGO, active in community capacity building and issue based networking for sustainable community development.

The organization was formed in 2016 and officially registered in 2018 by a team of professionals in response to factors that inhibit the socio-economic development of rural and emerging urban communities in Ghana..

The focus of ComCA is on the problems of the marginalised people, groups and communities in their struggle to obtain a dignified and a fulfilled life. Environment stabilization, food security, water and sanitation and empowerment of communities for self-governance are the most important components of its mission. The communities are assisted to develop Community Action Plans for effective and timely community development initiatives.

Therefore, ComCA takes all necessary initiatives to empower and enhance the capacity of underprivileged people, groups and communities to enable them to solve their own socio-economic problems towards a sustained development.

ComCA’s strategies to address its established objectives revolve around the following approaches:

Facilitation & Animation

Developing leadership capacities at district and community levels for effective project planning and implementation.

Community Needs Assessment

Conducting mapping and stakeholder analysis to identify gaps, resources, and issues affecting vulnerable groups.

Community Action Plans

Promoting participation and ownership by guiding communities to develop and implement their own CAPs.

Capacity Building & Youth Empowerment

Using participatory training, policy education, and empowerment initiatives for holistic community transformation.

Local Economic Development

Partnering with communities to tackle systemic economic challenges, generate opportunities, and support SMEs.

Child & Forced Labour

Eliminating child labour and advocating against forced labour through education, dialogue, and sustainable remediation.

Monitoring & Evaluation

Implementing performance audits and monitoring systems to track project progress and effectiveness.
